A glass coffee pot that lets you see into your coffee is no longer just for science fiction writers and the internet’s “trolls”.
In 2018, Google and Glass maker Osmo introduced a virtual reality coffee mug that lets users experience the smell of coffee, view photos of coffee beans and even get a taste of the caffeine in the mug itself.
Glass was a hit for the likes of Snapchat and Instagram user Kahlil Hausa, but the coffee-shaped contraption was a huge hit with people looking to get their hands on the latest gadgets.
“It was pretty crazy,” said Kahlileh Hausab, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the creator of Glass coffee mug.
“A lot of people are looking to see if it’s going to be a great new product for them.
We saw it in our lab, we saw it on the street, people were using it for their own personal use, and we just wanted to see how it was going to work.”
But the coffee mug was just the beginning of the experience.
Glass also made a splash with the media.
One major news outlet, The Verge, described Glass as the “most innovative technology of the year”, while the New York Times dubbed the device a “super-fuzzy” object.
Glass is a wearable technology that lets people see through their clothing, but there’s a lot more to it than just that.
Google says the coffee cup is a “cool new product” and it’s worth exploring the technology.
But the real magic is in the way it can be used.
“Glass coffee mutes the sound,” Hausar said.
“Glass coffee is not just a cool new technology.”
The new coffee cup uses a special filter that filters out all the ambient noise and sounds, which helps make the coffee taste even better.
But that filter also creates a slight tint to the cup, which is what Hausap said gives it a more natural coffee smell.
“The filter is actually the only way you can get a natural, subtle coffee taste in your cup,” he said.
“But you also get the same coffee smell and you can smell the coffee from a mile away.
It’s really cool.”
For some users, that coffee smell is what makes the cup smell so appealing.
“I’m a coffee aficionado,” Hussab said.
But for others, the cup doesn’t taste any better than any other coffee cup, even if it looks like a real coffee cup.
“There’s definitely a difference,” said Jessica Johnson, a senior communications lecturer at the School of Visual Arts in Sydney, Australia.
“For some people, I think they’re just going to enjoy the coffee itself and it’ll just be a natural taste.”
For others, it might not be so easy to get into the coffee experience.
“One of the best things about this is that it’s actually going to cost you less than buying a real cup,” Hesse said.
The real-world example is how the device can be bought from Amazon, where users can buy a coffee mug with a built-in filter.
But it doesn’t stop there.
Glass coffee moths also work with many other products.
The coffee cup can be attached to the Google Home speaker, and if that’s connected to your smartphone, you can also turn your Google Home speakers into coffee mikes.
“They’re very convenient and very useful,” Johnson said.
This makes it a perfect way to test the new coffee mug, but it’s also a useful way to try out the new Google Glass app.

The app was originally designed for people who want to try the new Glass glasses.
“We have a very high expectation that people are going to want to have that experience,” said Osmolowska Stankovic, Google Glass program manager for consumer technology.
“This is not only a new product, but also an important product for a very wide range of users.”
