The Washington Capitals are looking for a new owner.
The franchise has been in limbo since being sold to the Washington Wizards in 2018.
They’ve made a deal to move the team to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
But their current owners want to take over and the new owners are demanding a raise.
The new owners want more money.
That is, they want to give the franchise more money to spend on things like new uniforms, uniforms and new equipment.
They also want to keep a larger portion of the team’s salary cap.
And that means a new team’s payroll needs to be significantly lower than the team they want.
So, they’ve been seeking a new franchise to be named in the Capitals new ownership group’s name.
What they’re asking forIs a $200 million payroll.
And they’re demanding it in order to keep the team competitive and get the team back on track.
So what do you think?
Should the Capitals be moving the team?
Or should they keep the name?
